Cruise Liner MV Discovery is currently berthed in Douglas Bay. The vessel was built in Germany in 1971 and runs under a Bermuda flag. The Discovery Cruises website lists her current gross tonnage as 20,186, top speed as 18 knots (33 km/h) and passenger capacity as 698. Some of those 698 are currently making their way ashore to explore the Isle of Man – let’s hope they don’t get confused by the new bus timetable…
