Manx Grand Prix 2010 – Mishap at the start

One small clip from tonight (more to follow later). Mishap at the start of practice at the grandstand – looks like a small piece of plastic on the wheel? Luckily, nothing more serious happened. Filmed at a higher frame rate, hence the super-slomo effect and no original sound.

Manx Grand Prix 2010 – Third Practice

Two videos from the third practice on tuesday. Took loads today again but needs time to edit and upload – should be there tomorrow or so. Videos are 720p again for big viewing.

Manx Grand Prix 2010 – Second Practice

Just a little video from last night. Sadly, the stills cam went on a bit of a strike, so there’s not much of that – but at least you see’em moving. Video starts on the far side of the grandstand (next to the football pitch), then moves past paddock and down towards return lane – just loads of passes and things. There’s a whole truckload more but I’ll have to edit that first – expect more over the next days. Resolution can be cranked up to 720p for better viewing on big screens.

Manx Grand Prix 2010 – The bikes are back

The 2010 Manx Grand Prix has just started – time then for the usual pilgrimage to the grandstand. A video and 24 pics from saturday below:

“The World” visiting the Isle of Man

Cruise ship “The World” recently stopped by in Douglas Bay. Only got a few snaps of it and finally got round to uploading them:

MotoCzysz E1pc in Dutch “Kijk” magazine

The MotoCzysz E1pc continues its way through the media, making its latest appearance in the Dutch “Kijk” magazine. It’s on page 52 in issue 09/2010 and also in a preview on their website. Sadly, they haven’t included picture credit as requested – little disappointed there, but at least the bike gets some more publicity.

Phoenix 2 Superyacht in Douglas Harbour

Just thought I share a few snaps of my new fishing boat. Cute, isn’t she? Ok, wishful thinking here – it’s the German-build Phoenix 2 superyacht that’s currently tied up in Douglas harbour and you can find more info about her here.

Only took the little box out, so no super-duper pictures, but with the seacat next to it, you get an idea of how big that thing is. All pics also added to the Various – IOM gallery.

And here she is super-sized, for those bigger screens (4.2MB jpg, might take a sec to load):

Ronaldsway in slow motion

Just messing about with the camera, really – loads of planes coming and going, captured at a higher frame rate for slomo effect. Most of it captured during the afternoon of 05 June:
